It’s all about me

Being a creative individual, I always knew that I wanted to work within the media, as the idea of working within one of the fastest changing innovative industries is something which not only excites me, but motivates me!

My desire to be involved in television production has always been apparent, even from a young age where relentless applications to become television extras were submitted in an attempt to learn more about the industry. Using my dad’s 1980’s video camcorder (known as the ‘handycam’ camera of its day) I would take to the garden, which became my studio, to produce programmes. However, what was once just an interest has now become a professional aspiration.

Having a gap year before university allowed me to develop as a person, as travelling and working abroad  equipped me with life skills that no work placement could have offered.

124I have traveled extensively throughout Europe, travelling around various islands within the Republic of Croatia, visiting natural landmarks such as the Plitvice Lakes, exploring the historical towns and religious architecture. However, I intend to continue and expand my travels and visit other countries, experiencing other cultures and places which have historical and cultural significance. South East Asia and South America are areas of particular interest as I am keen to visit and explore famous cultural landmarks and buildings such as; Kagkor, the ancient capital of the Khmer empire, a national treasure in Cambodia and the Potala Palace in Tibet.088

I have many passions in life which has helped me to become a well-rounded individual. I have danced at a competitive level since the age of three, performing twice in London’s West End theaters and in Disneyland Paris. Whilst enjoying the physical aspect of dance, I also take great pleasure in the creative side and often played an active role in choreographing routines at my dance school.

Sports is something that  I have always participated in, especially netball where I joined an out of college netball team at a competitive level. Additionally I am an advanced skier and an avid reader, as I enjoy submerging myself in books, both fiction and non-fiction aiming to read two books a month alongside my core theory degree books. My most recent read is, The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo by Stieg Larsson.
